Molly Rocklind
This Just In...

Stevie Wonder has requested the "Artists 4 Peace" ensemble to perform at his upcoming "16th Annual House Full of Toys Concert" being held at the Nokia Theater, December 17, 2011.  Molly Rocklind had the distinct honor of sharing the same stage as Stevie Wonder and Chaka Kahn while participating in the "Artists 4 Peace" Concert at the Gibson Amphitheater earlier this month. This go round, Molly will be back with the "We Are The World" emsemble performing to another large audience.  Stevie's "House Full of Toys Concert" will participate in giving Christmas gifts to those who are less fortunate and in low income situations.

Irvine Lake Event

Who knew there was a lake in Irvine?  Over the weekend, Molly performed with Rodeo Drive at the 1st Annual "Irvine Lake Hot Boats Regatta" in Irvine, CA. Hundreds of people flocked to the water to part-take in the weekend's festivities including a boat show, paddle boat races, camping, a swap meet and of course LIVE MUSIC performed by Rodeo Drive. The band performed for over 3 hours and even had a few dancers joining them on stage! Molly would like to thank the folks of Irvine Lake for inviting Rodeo Drive to play at their event.  It was truly a success! Click on the "photo" tab for more pictures of the event.

This Fall

Hollywood's leading music school, Musician's Institute, has recently signed on Molly Rocklind as one of their newest "Live Performance Workshop" teachers. Molly will be working with aspiring female country music artists on a weekly basis.  "What a great opportunity to coach talent in a genre of music I know well.  It's a great time to be an artist in country music and I'm excited about working with MI's up-and-coming talent."  If you'd like more information on Musician's Institute, you can visit their website at: www.mi.edu.

Richmond & Rocklind

Wedneday night was on FIRE at the famous Cowboy Palace Saloon this past week.  Molly Rocklind teamed up with friend and fellow musician Aubrey Richmond to once again play at LA's top honky tonk.  Joining them on stage was Bill Horn on electric guitar, Milo Todesco on drums, Ted Russell Kamp on bass and special guest Dean Parks on pedal steel.  What a line-up!  You can't get much better than that. Performing a mixture of today's hits along with crowd favorites, the patrons had plenty of line dances, 2-steps and cha-cha's to dance to all night long.

Richmond & Rocklind have secured additonal dates at the Cowboy Palace Saloon for the remainder of the year so you'll have multiple times to check the girls out.  Each month they'll be bringing in a new special guest...even more reason to check out a Richmond & Rocklind show. Also, did we mention there are FREE line-dancing lessons an hour before their show starts?  Even more reason to grab some friends and come on out to the Cowboy Palace Saloon.

For future show dates, click on the "Dates" link on the top of this page.

Taste in San Pedro Festival

Molly Rocklind hit the main stage at the "Taste in San Pedro" Festival this past weekend with her band, Rodeo Drive.  Unlike the triple temps she experienced just a few short weeks ago at Six Flags Magic Mountain, this stage was centrally located on the port of Los Angeles, where the ocean breeze kept the band and audience cool.  The members of Rodeo Drive had the pleasure of playing with friend and fellow musician, John Bowdler of Von Cotton as well as accomplished pianist and songwriter, Charles Saltzman. Collectively, they rocked out for over an hour playing a mixture of new and traditional hits. Thanks to everyone who made the trip out to see the show!

Six Flags Magic Mountain

July 23rd and 24th Molly performed with her band, Rodeo Drive, at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA.  Their stage was centrally located next to Katy's Kettle, near Roaring Rapids, a highly trafficked area in the park. Rodeo Drive performed 4 sets of today's top 40 contemporary country hits.  Despite temperatures nearing triple digits on both days, the band managed to pull off 2 days full of non-stop fun and entertainment!  A special thanks to everyone who stopped by the stage to say "Hello" and sign up on the mailing list.

Performance at the Cowboy Palace

On June 8th and July 5th, Molly Rocklind joined forces with LA based fiddle player, Aubrey Richmond for a couple evenings of country music at the Cowboy Palace, in Chatsworth, CA.  The Cowboy Palace is one of the only active honky tonks remaining in Southern California.  Joining Molly and Aubrey on stage was the ever talented Chad Watson on bass, Milo Todesco on drums, Bill Horne on electric guitar, and the legendary Dean Parks on pedal steel.  Dean has played with every singer imaginable including Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Barbara Streisand, Celine Dion, Elton John and Dolly Parton.  A special thanks to John Bowdler of, "Von Cotton" and Eric Scott Williams of, "Highway Down" for sitting in on a few with the band. The same group will be back August 24th at the Cowboy Palace for a repeat. You won't want to miss it!

Review in the Examiner
